MAORI ARRESTED AS SEQUEL TO FIRE AT ONEHUNGA

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).—An arrest was made this afternoon following the fires on Saturday night at W. H. Bond and Co. and the Onehunga Joinery Works, in Queen Street, Onehunga. More than £25,000 worth of damage was due to the joinery works. A Maori will appear in the Police Court charged with breaking and entering W. H. Bond and Co. and committing a crime therein. Other charges are pending. Detectives from the Auckland Criminal Investgation Branch worked for more than 35 hours before the arrest was made.
