Crippled Children Home Appeal Meeting With Good Support
Members of the- Wanganui Rotary Club were briefly addressed by Dr. H. Kenrick Christie, president of the Wanganui branch of the Crippled Children Society, and Mr. J. K. Mullins, chairman of the Crippled Children Home appeal, at yesterday’s luncheon.
Mr. Mullins said the appeal so fathad been most encouraging and was deserving of full support from all sections of the community. He was not unmindful of the many appeals ol late, but none would question Bic worthiness of this particular effort which was to provide a home for the crippled child which was away from the atmosphere of the hospital. He commended the public spiritedness of the Wanganui Motor Boat Club which was holding a regatta or: Kai'-ake Lake next Sunday, the proceeds being given to the appeal. He also mentioned the valued support of oilier bodies including the Commercial Tr-vellers.
