CRAZED YOUNG MAN KILLS FIVE PEOPLE; WOUNDS FOUR

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (Recd. £ pm). Police at Malaga, New Jersey, early today captured a crazed young exserviceman who last night had shot and killed five persons, and critically wounded four others in two villages in south-west New Jersey. The killer is Ernest Ingenito, aged 25. Ingenito, who has been estranged from his wife, Tessic, aged 23, for several months, had tried to wipe out the wife and her entire family. He critically wounded Tessie. Ingenito began his murderous rampage in Piney Ftollow Village. He killed his father-in-law and mother-in-law in one house, and his wile’s grandmother, uncle and a cousin in another. He then raced his car Io a nearby Minolola village, and burst into a house where his wife was staying with her brother and sister. "I cleaned u > the other family.” Ingenito shouted to nis wi r e. "I came here to get you." He fired point-blank at the terrified group, wounding his wife, her brother and sister, end her nine-year-old niece. Ingenito ran from

i the house, and fled ?n his car. The entire New Jersey Stat? police force was mobilised to hunt, him down. The police blocked all roads leading from the area, and threw a cordon round the district. State troopers in a patrol car spotter Ingenito’s car four and a-half hours after the killing. They chased | him into Landis vi l! age and forced | him into the kerb.
