Annual Reunion And Dinner Of Convent Old Girls

Fifty-seven past pupils of the Wanganui Convent Old Girls’ Association attended the annual reunion and dinner held recently at Dustin’s rooms. During the evening the following toast list was honoured. “Alma Mata,” proposed by Miss Kennedy and replied to by Miss J. Mansen; “Rev. Mother and Sisters,” proposed by Mrs. Hackett and replied to by Miss A. Dawson; “Absent Friends,” Mrs. E. T. Burke (Waverley). Misses P. Holdaway and Pikanui contributed a duo dance. An interesting talk on her recent visit to Australia was given by Miss E. O’Donoghue (Auckland). Mrs. Cleeve presided.
