ANTI-COMMUNIST BILL IN AUSTRALIA; LABOUR LETS IT INTO SENATE

CANBERRA, Oct. 5 (Rec. 6 pm).— The Labour majority in the Senate today allowed the Government to bring forward the Communist Party Dissolution Bill. Senator McKenna, Deputy-Leader of the Opposition, said he was prepared to set aside a prior claim of the Prices Bill, which he introduced yesterday and which the Labour majority ruled last night must be discussed before other measures. Moving the second reading of the anti-Communist measure, the Minister of Trade and Customs, Senator O’Sullivan, said he hoped the debate on the Bill would be confined to points of dispute.
