CRISIS DAY IN THE LONDON GAS STRIKE

LONDON, Oct 4 (Recd 6 pm). The “Daily Mail’’ says tomorrow is crisis day in the London gas strike. As 1360 servicemen begin maintenance work at four gasworks, 10 strike leaders will appear at Bow Street summoned under the Conspiracy and Protection of Property Act. One strike leader said yesterday: -Calling in servicemen will make the men dig their feet in. It is the most provocative action the Government could take.”
