ADVANTAGES OF POULTRY EMULSION

TESTS ON VITAMIN ABSORPTION ON CHICKS

It is obviously the effective use use which chicks make of their food — particularly the \itamin concentrates - that is all-important. In this connection a United States Poultry Bulletin of May, 1950, states: “In absorption studies, emulsions of Vitamin A were utilised more efficiently than similar concentrates dissolved in oils." It. is for this special virtue of emulsion that Vite-ADee Poultry Emulsion has been prepared. But not only is it more readily absorbed. Being an

emulsion, it mixes readily with water, thus a thorough mix throughout the wet mash is assured; and if watered down to suit it can bo more easily rubbed into dry mash. If care is exercised, it. can even bo fed in the drinking water. The Vitamins A and D in Vite- i ADee Poultry Emulsion are guaran- | teed to be standardised in the ratios ' recommended by the Department, of Agriculture—but Vite-ADee is twice as strong; it is therefore very economical. Produce Merchants stock Vite-ADee Poultry Emulsion in one and four gallon tins, and also in 44 gallon drums. Although it. is essentially a product for commercial poultrymen, keepers of small flocks would find great value in Poultry Emulsion for chicks, layers and breeders.
