Man Killed By Track In Accident While Shunting

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA) - A man engaged in shunting at Kempt home Prosser and Co.’s fertiliser works at Hornby was killed instantly at 3.30 p.m. today when he i was run over by a truck. He was Mr John Robert Wilkin, aged 63, of 58 i Brymley Street, Hornby, married, . with two children. i Mr Will.nn, who was employed as a j labourer at the fertiliser works, was standing on the platform at the rear of a locomotive shunting in the works yards. As Im jumped off the engine he Slipped and the first two wheels of ihe following truck ran over him. He was killed instantly.
