Three Boys Derailed Engine And Carriage Of Suburban Train

BRISBANE, Sept. 10 (Recd. 7 p.m.) —Three boys, all under nine, caused the derailment of an engine and two carriages of a passenger train. They placed a stone between points on a suburban line running from Brisbane to Sandgate. This caused the engine to heel over and crash off the line, derailing and telescoping both the following carriages. , Seven passengers were severely shaken and one was taken to hospital, but nobody was seriously injured. Later the boys demonstrated to detectives how they had accomplished the feat. Because of their ages they will not be charged.
