N.Z. WOOL BOARD OFFERING BURSARIES TO N.Z. SCIENTISTS
As part of a world-wide campaign lof scientific research into wool problems with the object of widening the use and usefulness of wool from the sheep’s back to the finished fabric, the New Zealand Wool Board is offering two bursaries to enable New Zealand scientists to go overseas next year. Each bursary is worth £4OO a year and is tenable at any approved institution overseas where the bursar can pursue his studies in the field of sheep and wool research, which embraces physics, chemistry, genetics, nutrition, pathology, bacteriology, parisitology, and economics and statistical method as applied to sheep and wool production. The holders of the bursaries will be required to return to New Zealand on comnletion of their overseas course and enter into the service of some organisation approved by the Wool Board for a period of not less than three years, so that the country may get the benefit of their wider knowledge and experience.
