ADVANCE BOOKINGS FOR SADLERS WELLS BALLET IN NEW YORK A RECORD
LONDON, Sept 5 (Recd 6 pm). —Advance sales of tickets for th’.ee weeks engagement of the Sadlers Wells Ballet Company at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, totalled £99,285. out of a total of £107,142 available. This preliminary booking has broken all records for New York. After it concludes it# New York season the Sadlers Wells Company will go on a 20 weeks tour of 29 major centres in the United States and Canada. Mr S. Hurok, a New York impfre r 'sario, expects the teason to bring in a gross total of £678,000.
