CONDUCT OF CITY HOTELS SATISFACTORY DURING LAST QUARTER
“Generally speaking, tne position regarding the conduct of hotels in the city during the past three months has been satisiactory,’ said the chairman of the Wanganui Licensing Committee, Mr S. S. Preston, S.M., at the quarterly meeting yesterday. He added that one hotel licensee! was before the Court on several! charges relating to breaches of the Licensing Act, but the posit on had I been adjusted by the appointment oi a manager and the hotel was now being conducted in a satis'ac.ory man-1 ner. Two other licensees were also before the Court during the quarter !
