African’s Unusual Tonsils Operation
LONDON, May 16—An African in Mombassa removed a fellow African’s tonsils by tying a piece of string around them, then cutting them oft with a penknife, reports an Associated Press correspondent. The African pleaded guilty today to committing a “reckless, negligent act, liable to endanger life.” The patient is alive and well. He paid three shillings for the operation.
