Croquet Club Women Top-dress Their Courts With Soil
Using shovels and wheelbarrows, members of the Durie Hill Croquet Club have just completed the topdressing of their two lawns With the exception of help from two men. all the work was done by the clubs women members The soil was bought, by the club—l2 yards in all—and was screened before being spread. The Durie Hill croquet courts are on council property but are maintained by the club.
