SOME SCHOOLS WILL HAVE NO TEACHERS WHEN NEW TERM OPENS
The Wanganui Education Board has 33 permanent teaching vacancies for which it has no applications and some schools in |ts district will open for the new term next week without teachers. This statement was made a yesterday's meeting of the board by the secretary (Mr G. N. Boulton). The task of finding relieving teachers was becoming a serious problem for the board, he said. This year the board would have to receive training college stunents as probationary assistants earlier than was the case last year.
