WASHINGTON, March 22 (Recd. 7.sopm).—Mr Dean Acheson, Secretary of State, told a press conference today that he fully supported the
statement of Ambassador-at-Large Philip Jessup that charges of Communistic influences in the State Department were weakening prestige abroad ( A Senate sub-committee is’investi- ' gating charges by Republican Senator 'Joseph McCarthy of Communist infll'tration of the State Department. The 'latest charge under investigation is ‘that a top Russian espionage agent I has connections with the department.
