NEW YORK, March 22 (Recd. 7.15 pm).—Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz said today that American possession of the Hydrogen bomb would reduce the threat of its use in a world-wide conflict.

Admiral Nimitz said: "I view with concern the growing hysteria and worrymongering which endangers our national health and vitality.
