New Heavy Traffic Regulations To Operate Soon

WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).—• The heavy motor vehicle regulations which will come into effect on June 1, and which will revoke those of 1940 are gazetted tonight. The alterations which appear in new regulations Include a different scale of road classification and amended licence fees In respect of class Q vehicles, the quarterly fee for which now becomes £lB 15s, the maximum allowed by the Act. Stewart Island is now to be included in the southernmost heavy traffic district, now number 19. At June 1, all existing road classifications become revoked and new classifications will then be gezetted.
