Otago Beats Speedway Team From Palmerston N.

DUNEDIN, Last Night (PA)—Otago scored its most impressive win since the establishment of the Tahuna speedway when it defeated a Palmerston North speedway team in a teams contest tonight by 26 points to 21. The outstanding individual rider was Alf Clarkin, the Palmerston North captain, who won each of the four teams races he contested, twice registering the fastest time of the evening for the four laps, 76sec, while he also won the Dunedin open handicap from the back mark of 85yds behind,.. in 79 4-ssec.
