SHANGHAI, June 18.—Communist! authorities have discovered an Ameri-j ’an spy ring in Mukden, Manchuria, and have arrested three of its members, reports the Chinese communist’ radio. It accused the United States Consulate and army liaison group at Mukden of acting as “espionage organs.” The American Consul-General, Mr. I Angus Ward, and his staff of nine at Mukden, have been under virtual arrest since Communists took over the city. Three suspects arrested were identified as a Japanese, known as Sasaki, an alleged leader of the ring, Pai Yi Chang, a Mongolian, and Wu Jen Chi, of Chinese-American descent.
