American G.I. To Find It Hard To Marry German Frauleins
LONDON, Jan. 17 (Rec. 12.00)—The marriage to his German sweetheart is to become more difficult for the American soldier in Europe, says the Associated Press Frankfurt correspondent. In an attempt to check the tide of some 15,000 German-American weddings since the war, the United States Army has forbidden soldiers under the rank of sergeant to marry except in special circumstances, and increased from three months Io six the period between the application and the altar.
