Three Wanganui Women’s Bowling Teams Playing At N.P.

NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (OC) —-Rain interrupted the second day’s play in the first open fours tournament of the Taranaki Women’s Bowling Centre at the New Plymouth bowling club’s greens this morning, but this afternoon the skies cleared and a high wind rapidly dried out the greens. The three Wanganui fours competing all won both their games in section play today, and are headed only by Gillespies (New Plymouth) four, which is so far unbeaten. In the third round games, Dempster’s team beat Thomas (New Plfmouth), 22-21, Dennison beat Lister 2B12, and Congreve beat Coxhead. (Riverside) 18-15. In the fourth round Dempster defeated Gatland (New Plymouth) 25-15, Dennison beat Roebuck (New Plymouth) 45-9, and Congreve beat Lister (Riverside) 32-23. ______
