Rangitikei Hunt Club Nominations Today

Following on its successful point-to-point steeplechase meeting last Saturday, the Rangitikei' Hunt Club can expect excellent nominations for the annual race meeting, to be held an the Marton racecourse on Saturday of next week. The meeting follows on after the Manawatu Hunt Club fixture next Saturday. Principal event is the Rangitikei Hunt Cup Steeplechase, with a stake of £450, including a trophy valued at £25 presented by Messrs K. McK. Duncan and A. T. Gatrell. For the Otairi Bracelet Handicap (£200) there is a £2O trophy presented by Mr. R. K. Simpson. The main flat event is the Riddiford Handicap. run over seven furlongs for a slake of £3OO. Provision is made for a stake for fourth horse i n each event. Nominations are due to close at. 5 p.m. today with the secretary, Miss F. L. Way, Marton.
