Women’s Christian Temperance Union

The Wanganui central branch of the W.C.T.U. held its monthly meeting in Trinity Church Parlour, Mrs. R. Wilson being m the chair and also leading devotions, when the chosen hymn was the favourite of Mrs. Ell, whose death two days previously was much regretted. Messages of sympathy were sent to her sister, Mrs. Duxfield, the president of the branch, and to other relatives. Miss Wadsworth was welcomed after a long absence. Mrs. Glenn was in charge of the bring-and-buy table. Mrs. Shirley and Mrs. Wilson were hostesses for the afternoon.
