Long Fingernails.
Because one of the competitors had fiingernalls which were too long in the opinion of the referee, there was a slight delay at the start of one of the amateur wrestling bouts in the Opera House last night. A pair of scissors was produced and the wrestler manicured his nails to the referee’s satisfaction and to the amusement. of the crowd. “What about a haircut and a shampoo, too, ref.?” one wag suggested.
