DANNEVIRKE WINTER SHEEP FAIR

The Southern 11.8- Stock and Station Agents’ Association report that there was a large yarding of lamb ewes at the weekly Stock sale at Dannevirke. Some attractive line of ewe hoggets were also offered. The yarding was the largest since the Ewe Fairs, some 10,000 head being offered. The following is. a range of prices:— Fat Sheep: Ewes, 25/9 to 34/-• wethers. 37/- to 48/-; lambs 31/3 to 41/6. Store Sheep: 6 and 7 year ewes r.w. S.D. ram. 22/3 to 37/10; 4 and 5 year ewes r.w. S D. ram 21/- to 38/-; mixed aged ewes r.w. S.D. ram. 26/- to 44/6; 2-tooth ewes r.w. S.D. ram 30/to 40/9; ewe hoggets 21/- to 40/6: wether hoggets 17/- to 35/6; B.flambs 18/9 to 26/3.
