STERLING FUNDS DOWN; NOTE ISSUE INCREASES
Sterling exchange held by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand decreased by £N.Z.344,943 in the week ended June 16. In the same period the note issue expanded by 1N.ZJ29.063. The assets and liabilities of the bank as at June 16. together with the weekly averages for 1939 and 1947. were as follows:
