Fittingly rounding off the club’s jubilee year, Pirates, on •Saturday, beat Kaierau on Spriggens Park by a narrow margin of three points to nil. thereby placing themselves in an unassailable position in the 1948 Rugby ehampionship. Kaierau is lying second on the championship iadder. with Technical Old Boys, yet to be challenged by Alarist, a point behind. Technical Old Boys beat Waverley on Saturday by eight points to three, in a match played at Waverley. On Spriggens Park, Wanganui and Old Boys beat Marist by 14 points to 11.
