ASHMORE—On June 26, 1948, at her residence, No. 91 No. 3 Line, Wanganui, Jennie wife of the late Josiah L. Ashmore, and loved mother of Mrs. Lott (New Plymouth), Mrs. Bain (Hawera), and Miss Ashmore (Wanganui); aged 84 years. Friends kindly note that the funeral will leave her late residence. No. 91 No. 3 Line, for the Aramoho Cemetery today (Monday, June 28, 1948), at the conclusion of a service commencing at 11 a.m.—Dempsey and Sons, Funeral Directors, 144 Victorai Avenue, Wanganui. BARNOTT—On June 26, 1948, at Wanganui Hattie Mabel Bamott, of 56 Plymouth Street, Wanganui, second daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Barnott, and beloved sister of Stan and Tom Barnott, Wanganui, and Mrs. C. R. Cooke, Hamilton. Friends are respectfully informed that the funeral will leave Christ Church, Wicksteed Street entrance, today (Monday, June 28, 1948), for the Aramoho Cemetery at the conclusion of a service which will commence at 2.30 p.m.—Fleming and Dick, Wanganui.
