Nine Auckland Players In N.I. University Rugby Representatives
(P.A.) Wellington. June 24. Auckland University, one of the leading teams in the Auckland Rugby Union’s senior competition, has supplied nine members to the North Island University team to meet the South Island at Auckland on July 7. After this match, the New' Zealand Universities’ team will be chosen to play Auckland on July 10. The North Island team is: Backs, M. Tanner (A), B. Sweet <A), G. Gilmour (A), D. Grace (A), B. Caughey (A), D. Cooney (A), R. Jacob ’Victoria); forwards. B. Rope (A). C. Shannon (V), H. Morgan (A). R. Shannon (V), O. S. Meads (V), H. Young (Massey), B. Webber (M), G. McDonald (A). Reserves S. Mander (M), A. S. Macleod (V), M. Foreman (M). Meads is captain and Gilmour vicecaptain.
