Auckland June 25 ; The claim of a waterside worker ; foi’ reinstatement to membership in the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union and for £lOOO damages for the alleged wrongful removal of his name from the union’s register was heard for the second dav by Mr. Justice Finlay. Plaintiff was a native of Trinidad. Felix Ernest James, aged 60, and his claim was opposed bv the union. For some years, from 1942, James had been unable to continue his wharf work on account of his health and on May 8, 1944. ne was struck ' off the union register on account of his absence from work. I The Judge reserved decision.
