WRESTLING
NEXT TUESDAY’S BIG MATCH When a wrestler who prefers to attack all the time runs into Joe Pazandak there is usually plenty of action. Next Tuesday, Wanganui wrestling enthusiasts will see a great wrestling match, for Bill Kuusisto (the non-stop wrestler), will meet Joe Pazandak at the Opera House. Both men are ranked among the best drawcards among the wrestlers in New Zealand this season, with Kuusisto’s non-stop wrestling making him favourite with the crowds. His rapid application of the match-win-ning move, the “victory drop,” has brought new interest into the season and those who heard his match against Pazandak, when Pazandak deputized for Pat Fraley, will recall that their encounter was rated the best of the Wellington season. Kuusisto, twice winner of the American amateui - championship has been likened to America’s famous Bronko Nagurski. In Minneapolis, home of Nagurski they refer to Kuusisto as “Nagurski the Second,” a tribute that Tuesday’s fans will better appreciate after seeing him in actiop. Several good amateur matches have been arranged to precede the big professional contest. Box plans lor reserved seats is now open at the DI.C.
