Outweighed and outhooked, the Taranaki Rugby representative team, by sound tackling, stingirtg forward onslaughts in the loos 3. net ter penetration among the backs, and sheer determination, beat Wellington at Hawera today by 16 points to nine. It was a thrilling game, in which Taranaki came into its own in the last ten minutes and scored eight points after Wellington had at one stage in the second spell appeared to be gaining the ascendencyTries were scored for Taranaki by Cameron, O'Byrne, Jamieson, and Beatty, Johns converting one and Cameron one. Bevan and Crisp scored tries for Wellington and Doyle kicked a penalty goal.
