WANGANUI REPRESENTED IN N.Z. 'VARSITY TEAM

In the New Zealand 'Varsity team which played Canterbury last Saturday was Jim Stewart, son of the president of the Wanganui Rugby Union (Mr. C. Stewart).

Jim played for me Wanganui Technical College, for Massey College last year and this year made the South Island team to play the North. He is now at Lincoln College.

Stewart hooked for the side. In addition, Wanganui was represented in the team by K. Gudsell and O. S. Meads. Gudsell played for Technical Old Boys when in Wanganui and went to Massey College. There he represented Manawatu and played in the combined Wanganui-Mana-watu team against the Australians in Wanganui last year. He is a five-eighths, and former captain of the Wanganui Technical College Ist fifteen. Meads, a forward, also played for the Wanganui Technical College Ist fifteen. To have three former players in the crack university side of the Dominion is of distinct credit to the Wanganui school, which is in all reality a nursery of Rugby—“Crossbar?’
