TWO SIDES TO PLAY TAIHAPERANGITIKEI COMBINED Two Wanganui representative Rugby teams were selected on Saturday by the sole city selector (Mr. S. Ambrose). The A team is to play the combined Rangitikei*Taihape representatives in Wanganui next Saturday and the B team is to play a combined TaihapeRangitikei B team as a curtain-raiser for the main match. The Wanganui teams are: METROPOLITAN A Full-back: I. Willacy (T. 0.8. Three-quarters: P. Henderson (K), B. Bason (K), N. Anderson (P). Five-eighths: I. Whale (K), J. Bryers (P), Ist.) Half-back: J. Barnett (T. 0.8. Back of Scrum: E. V. Bellis (K), capt. Sides: J. Whale (K), D. Blick (T. 0.8. Locks: D. McGregor (W.0.8.), B. Buckley (P). Front Row: D. Goldsbury (Wav.), L. Managh (M), J. Clemance (T. 0.8. Reserves. Forwards: G. Gerrie (K), B. Wright (T. 0.8. Backs: E. Bligh (W.0.8.), A. Webby (T. 0.8. METROPOLITAN B Full-back: A. Duncan (K). Three - quarters: M. Shewan (T. 0.8. R. Bruce (M), A. Rowland (M). Five-eighths: C. Dallison (Wav.), Ist., L. Head (P). Half-back: R. Best (P), capt. Back of Scrum: J. Regan (Wav.) Sides: N. Lash (M), R. Dallison (Wav j Locks: M. Pettis (M), B. Pedley (P). Front Row: N. Brown (P), B. Whatnough (P), M. Owen (T. 0.8. Reserves. forwards: P. Lambert (T. 0.8. M. Halley (Wav.) Backs: K. Dunlop (T. 0.8. J. McPhail (T. 0.8. M. Hunter (W.0.8.), because of injuries, was not available. Players in both teams are to assemble for practice at Spriggens Park at 5 o’clock to-morrow (Tuesday) and again at the same hour on Wednesday. Any player not available lor play on Saturday must notify the secretary (Mr. C. S. Swan) immediatel he knows he will be unable to play.
