WANGANUI AND OLD BOYS BEAT WAVERLEY IN LAST MINUTE
A try right on time gave Wanganui and Old Boys a win over Waverley in the senior fixture on the Racecourse. The half-time score of 6 all appeared to give the final result until Waverley let up in the crucial last few minutes.. Old Boys’ points came from two. unconverted tries and a penalty, while Waverley scored an unconverted try raid a penalty. V. Halford and D. McGregor were outstanding among the winners’ packmen, E.
