QUEENSLAND’S REVERSAL OF FORM WINS NARROWLY Recd. 8.40 p.m. Sydney, May 11. The. Queensland Rugby Union team showed a reversal of form to beat New South Waleg by 28 to 25 at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground. Last Monday New South Wales won 32 to 6. From the first minute, when Queensland scored, the pressure was on. Despite New South Wales’ superiority in the scrums and line-outs, Queensland managed to prevent the visitors feeding tlie wingers. With 20 minutes to go the score was 25 to 14 in Queensland’s favour. New South Wales recovered to even accounts, but in the last minute the Queensland forward, W. McLean, scored the winning try. New South Wales played a 3-4 scrum, with Cremin as wing forward, but lack of experience prevented his success in this position. Livermore scored 16 points for Queensland, including a try, two conversions and three penalties. The Queensland score included five tries, two conversions and three penalties and ihe New South Wales total five tries, two conversions and two penalties.
