BATTLE ABBEY INJURED IN TASMAN CROSSING
Sydnej, Feb. 23. The crack New Zealand two-year-oil Battle Abbey, who arrived in Sydney last week, was severely injured during the Tasman crossing and will mis s the Champagne Stakes and other races in the autumn meeting. It does not look as if he would race before the spring. The colt was cut about the legs and received a gash in the neck. Kerry Lad arrived sa fn ly and is being prepared for the £s'# Brisbane Cup, nin on May 5.
