GOLDEN SOUVENIR IS READY TO BACE AT MOMENT'S NOTICE
Recd. 10.45 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 25 The crack New Zealand stayer, Golden Souvenir, covered half-a-nffie on the B grass track at Randwick this morning in 53. He was restricted from going at his top, although he was eager to do so. Golden Souvenir has fully recovered from the rough trip across the Tasman in the Wahine, and looks ready to race at a “moment’s notice.” He is now outright favourite for the Sydney Cup. Kerry Lad, another recent arrival from New Zealand, ran four furlongs in 50. He appears to hate settled down in his new surroundings.
