YOUNG DUKE OF KENT HELPS MAGICIAN ON STAGE

Lindon, Jan. 20. When Jasper Maskylene, the wellknown magician, called for “helpers’’ during a matinee performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre, the first of several small boys who clambered eager on to the stage was an 1.1-year-old youngster who rather obviously was wearing his first suit of long trousers. The boy in long pants helped the magician to padlock a girl assistant inside a box, and while a screen was put round the box stood at one side of the stage. When the screen was removed a few moments later and the girl was found sitting on top of the box, he boy examined the box. looked at the magician and smileA. It wasn’t until he left the stage that it wan known that the eager juvenile helper was the young Duke of Kent. The Duke afterwards sent a message Io the magician, thanking him for his entertainment.
