Mrs. H. B. Turbott, of Lower Hutt, newly-appointed Provincial Commissioner of the Girl Guide Association for Wellington province, is to visit Wanganui this week-end. During her three days’ stay in the city she will meet the local Guides, Brownies, Rangers, and Guides. On Friday afternoon next Mrs. Turbott will meet members of the executive and local association at Mrs. I. E. Newton’s residence, St. John’s Hill (invitation holders are reminded of this meeting). In the evening the Provincial Commissioner is to meet Guides, Rangers, and Guiders in St. Paul’s Hall. On Saturday morning she will meet Brownies at Christ. Church Hall, and in the afternoon she will be taken to see “Tirohanga,’’ the Girl Guido Hut at Castlecliff. This will be followed by a picture party when Mrs. Turbott will be the guest of the Guiders and Rangers. After a tea in Christ Church Schoolroom on Sunday the visitor will attend a Guide church parade.
