FURTHER RESTRICTIONS (0.C.) Marton, July 21. “The gas position has not improved; in fact it has deteriorated," said Mr. A. J. Holden, manager of the Marton Gas Works, to-nijht, when outlining further cuts in the gas supply. Coal stocks were very low and till further supplies were received more restrictions would have to be imposed to meet the circumstances, said Mr. Holden, Gas will he cut off for two one-hour periods on Monday fi r om 8.45 a.m. to 9.45 a.m., and from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

Mr. Holden appealed to the consumers to ease a difficult situation by using gas very sparingly.
