FREEZING WORKER ’.HE NATIONAL CANDIDATE (O.C> Raetihi, July 21. Al one of the most enthusiastic meetings of National Party delegates ever held in the Waimarino elector; ate, which took place at Taumarunui yesterday, Mr. Norman R. Hili, a freezing worker, at present living ip Waitara, was chosen as the National Party candidate to contest the next general election.
Three nominees addressed the mooting, which was attended by 150 delegates. The other two were Mr. J. Bourke, of Cambridge, and Mr. d. Gray, oi Hihitahi. Tile addresses were all very good. The voting resulted in Mr. Hill being chosen. Mr. Hill is a returned serviceman, aged-36, married, with three ••hildren. He has had considerable experience in local body work, is a member of the Waitara Borough Council, and of the Rehabilitation Committee, and also of the Waitara branch of the Regional Planning Committee. He has been a member of the National Paity ever since it was formed. Mr. Hill intends to reside in Taumarunui.
