HAWKESTONE VISITS CASTLECLIFF Perfect weather favoured the Hawkestone golfers when they paid their liist post-war visit to lhe Castlecliff Club over the week-end and tried conclusions lor the special Castlecliff - Hawkestone challenge cup About 30 Marlon players made the trip and a successful day’s golf was enjoyed. Mr. R. R. Dawson, president, extended a hearty welcome to the visitors for whom the vice-captain, Mr. R. T. Parkes, returned thanks. He invited the Castl?eliff Club to a return match at Marton in the near future. As a result of Ihe four-ball in the morning. Castlecliff won six. with Hawkeston? two and one match halved. Tiie pairs in the afternoon gave Castiecliff 12 games and Hawkestone four, and two were halved.
