OPPOSITION TO MOVE AGAINST GOVERNMENT
EITHER NO CONFIDENCE OR AN ADJOURNMENT (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., June 19 During brief discussion in the House of Representatives to-day, just before the House adjourned, the Leader of the Opposition (Mr, Holland) indicated that next week ho would move a motion, either of no confidence in the Government, or for the adjournment of the House to enable discussion of a request by the Minister of Lands, Mr. Skinner, for the resignation of the chairman of the Hamilton Land Sales Committee, Mr. Lewis. Mr. Holland said he thought it proper to give as much notice as possible of his intention, and suggested the Prime Minister might indicate when I he would like the debate to begin.
Mr. Fraser said he thought Tuesday would be the most suitable day for the debate. The report of the New Zealand delegation to the United Nations conference might be debated on Monday. The House rose at 5.15 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Monday.
