WANGANUI PUBLIC MUSEUM '

Sir,— Referring to the sub-leader in your publication of this morning 1 was struck by your somewhat irregular comparison of attendances to the splendid institution and the Public Library. I took the trouble to find out the actual attendances for the past 12 month’s ended 30/6/46, which were: Adults, 9939; children, 7451; total, 17,390. From the foregoing figures I think your comments were a little out of place and before making similar comparisons ip future should be sure of your facts.—l am, etc., “A RECENT VISITOR.” On the above figures the adult attendances at the library would, in 20 days, equal the adult attendances at the museum for a whole year.— Editor.
