SUPPLY OF WOOLLEN STOCKINGS

(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., July 19. .Miss M. B. Howard (Govt., Christchurch East), in Ihe House of Representatives to-day gave notice to ask the Minister of Supply for a full statement on the supply of woollen stockings in New Zealand, comparing the present position with the pre-war period, and stating whether import licences were available for such stockings, whether they could be manufactured in New Zealand, and reasons for the present shortage. Miss Howard said that manv people with foot complaints, especially arthritis. were having a had time because woollen stockings wore unobtainable.
