THE STRENGTH OF ROTARY
Rotary International now has a membership of 267,450 members in 5621 clubs, the weekly letter of the Wanganui Rotary Club reveals. Of these, 18 clubs with 380 members in war-affected countries arc inactive. In just over a year there have been 291 new clubs formed in 29 countries, and of these 95 are re-established clubs in Europe and Asia. The president nominee for Rotary International for 1946-47 is Rotarian Richard C. Hedke, of the EatonClark Company of Detroit, Michigan, manufacturers and distributors of industrial chemicals and dyestuffs. During his 25 years of membership in th? Rotary Club of Detroit. Dick Hedke has served his club as director, vicepresident and president. He has served Rotary International as director, (listriel governor and as chairman of several committees.
