PRESENTATION (0.C.) Sanson, July KT, In view of her impending departun from the district Mrs. W. J. Jlowan was the recipient of an afternoon given in her honour nt the home ol Mrs. F. S. Collier, arrangements fat which were made by members of tne Plunket Committee. The drawing room, in which a dainty afternoon tea was served was tastefully decorated with bowls of winter blooms. Mra, Collier, in asking Mrs. Rowan to aeicept a small preseniarion irom tn I members of lhe committee, mentioned I the many years’ service Mrs. Rowan I had given on the committee, and stated she would be missed greatly. Mt, I Rowan had also served on the AdvisI ory Committee for a number df [years. Mis. Rex McKelvie reiterated Mrs. Colliers' remarks, and also exI pressed thanks to Mrs. Collier for the use of her home for the afternoon. Mrs. Rowan expressed her thanks far lhe afternoon, and presentation. A meeting of the committee was held later, when Mrs. C. E. Levin and Mrs. Cohen were elected to the committees the latter as a representative of :ha R.N.Z.A.F. Station. Ohakea. Arrangements were made for the visiting nurse to spend portion of her time at 1 the Air Force Station. The secretary ■ Mrs. S. Adams, submitted a report land statement on the dance which was adopted. SCDL'T TROOP FOOTBALL MATCH In a football match full of interest, the Sanson Scout Troop defeated the Bulls Troop by 6 points to nil, BUI Whitehead securing two tries for the winning team. It is hoped to arrange a return match as soon as possible. Mr. and Mrs. P. O’Regan are hoß* daying in Auckland.
