DATES FOR NEW SEASON SHOW FEW MAJOR CLASHES
Racing dates approx cd for the 1946-47 season show lew major clashes apart from the accepted holiday fixtures thus showing- that the headaches given racing executives in the season about to close were fine to die announcement, when the season's fixtures had been arranged, that a full restoration in dates was permitted. So far a> the Wanganui Jockey Club spring fixture is concerned, the clash with Avondale has little effect, and objection cannot be taken to Carterton racing at the same time as the Wanganui meeting concludes. The February meeting clashes with I’ahiatua. but the latter club will race at. Masterton, which is over 100 miles away. As usual, the Napier Park meeting will clash with the Wanganui winter fixture.
